Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science Graduation 2025
Thursday, May 8, 2025, 7-9 pm, Murchison Performing Arts Center. Winspear auditorium (inside the Murchison) will open at 6pm.
Graduates check in through the left doors of the Murchison Performing Arts Center at 6pm.
Left hand door entry for students only will be strictly enforced.

Parking
Free parking is available in Lot 20 next to the Murchison Performaing Arts Center.
Guests
Students (graduates) may invite up to 5 guests. Tickets will be provided prior to
the ceremony. Seating for guests is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open one
hour prior to ceremony start.
Ticketing (link will be active early April)
Students will request tickets by 5:00 pm, April 28, 2025. Each student will make
one request for up to 5 guest tickets. Tickets will be sent to the graduate's UNT
email. It is up to the student to get the tickets to their guests. We will activate
the link on this page to request tickets in early April.
Photography
Every student will be photographed twice at the commencement ceremony. Free proofs
will be mailed and emailed within a week of the ceremony.
Name Cards (link will be active on Monday, April 1)
Students must fill out the webform found here, 2025 TAMS Graduation Name Cards, to
share information regarding how they will be announced during the ceremony. Each student
may list two distinguishable achievements to be listed as they cross the stage. These
achievements do not need to be academic, but must represent a reputable award, honor,
accomplishment, or leadership role. Each achievement listed shall be subject to review
for legitimacy.
The name card webform will also serve as a confirmation of each student's contact information to receive their free photography proofs of the ceremony from the selected photographer.
Caps & Gowns
Students will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony without a cap and a gown. TAMS Graduates will wear a green gown, green mortarboard (cap), and tassel differentiated
by college. Clothing must be worn underneath the gown.
Caps and Gowns can be ordered online through March 31 at www.jostens.com, please select "Student TAMS 2025 Grad" from the drop down menu. The package is $55.94 plus tax and shipping. Last day to order is March 31. The package may also be purchased in the Barnes & Noble campus store from March 17 to April 18 but stock is limited so early purchase is encouraged. Please note, all regalia purchases are final and cannot be returned to the store or vendor for refunds. Do NOT purchase a stole, they will not be used.
Graduation Announcements
Information on purchasing graduation announcements can be found on the Jostens website (note: announcements from Jostens show UNT and not TAMS). Alternatively, many people choose to design their own announcements through other
vendors or create and print their own. The choice is yours!

Diplomas, Diploma Covers and Programs
Diplomas are printed and mailed to official UNT mailing addresses within eight to
ten weeks of commencement pending:
- TAMS verification of grades
- verification that all TAMS graduation requirements for student have been met (including GPA)
- verification of no financial holds (books, fines, etc.)
It is the responsibility of the graduate to ensure our office has the correct mailing address on file after graduation (my.unt.edu to update/verify your address). Students who do not update their mailing address and then subsequently do not receive their diploma must pay a $25.00 replacement fee before TAMS will re-order the diploma. A Diploma cover embossed with "Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science" will be included with and your diploma.
Printed programs will not be distributed at commencement ceremonies, however you may view or download the TAMS Graduation Program on the day of the ceremony (will be posted at the top of this page).
What to bring:
