Welcome to the Texas Academy of Mathematics & Science Preview Day. We are excited you will be joining us on this journey exploring the important details of TAMS and what opportunities are available to students.

In-Person Preview Events

Preview Events are for parents, educators, and students in grades 7-11 who would like to explore the program in person by visiting staff and students.

Please note that financial aid and scholarships will not be discussed at these large scale events. For more information on these topics, please sign up for a Financial Aid Webinar Preview Event (held in spring) where Ms. Cortney Watson, Director for Finance and Operations will be present.

Webinar Preview Events

Webinar Preview Events are for parents, educators, and students in grades 7-11 who would like to explore the program through Zoom sessions from afar. We understand that not all families can make it to our In-Person Preview Day Events so we have provided a guided set of several sessions covering different topics to discuss the program and ask questions.

Please be sure to register for your event as we will send you the Zoom webinar details one day ahead of time based on your registration with us.

Spend a Day

Spend A Day is an opportunity for a student who is applying to TAMS to come and spend a day on campus shadowing a current student.  Students will attend classes and have lunch in one of the campus dining halls.  Required permission, health/insurance, and information forms must be completed, and no Admission Ticket will be issued until all documentation is completed.  No student will be allowed to participate without an Admission Ticket.

Registration for fall dates will open on August 5, and for spring dates on December 1.

All Spend A Day registrations must have an accompanying Parent Authorization Form. Both the registration and the autorization form must be submitted 1 week prior to the event. Only students who have submitted the ApplyTexas Application will be allowed to complete the registration process.
