Graduation Announcements

Graduation announcements are available for purchase on the Jostens website HERE.

Alternatively, many people choose to design their own announcements through other vendors. The choice is yours!

What elements will the ceremony include?

ALL commencement/graduation ceremonies, regardless of size, held in Apogee must mirror the larger UNT ceremonies as ordered by UNT leadership.

  • Ceremonial conferral of Texas high school diploma by Dean Glênisson de Oliveira
  • Remarks from the UNT TAMS Deans
  • Turning of graduates' tassels
  • Individual name slides will be used to announce graduates.  Verbal recognition of graduates and crossing the stage are not components of this ceremony.  (Deadline for submitting slide name info is April 15.  No exceptions.  Photo and two academic achievements are due.)

What is the weather plan?

In light rain, the ceremony will take place as scheduled.  If severe weather is predicted or imminent at the time of any of the in-person ceremony, UNT leadership will consider the viability of delaying the ceremony start time or cancelling the ceremony.  The decision will be announced the week of the event, up to two hours prior to the ceremony.  Last-minute updates will be posted to this website and via email to graduates.
