Sydney McKinnis

Sydney joined the TAMS Academics Team in June 2022 as an academic counselor. Sydney has been a member of the UNT community since 2013. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Counseling at UNT. During her undergraduate career, Sydney was an Honors College student and spent 2.5 years as a research assistant in a developmental psychology laboratory. Sydney has worked in various departments at UNT, including Undergraduate Admissions, Office of the Registrar, College of Information Advising, and G. Brint Ryan College of Business Graduate Advising. She is passionate about building positive relationships with students and empowering them to achieve academic and personal success. Sydney enjoys traveling, exploring DFW, cooking, and spending time with friends and family in her free time.
