Brieanna Casey became a TAMS academic advisor in July 2025. She grew up in Denton, where she attended Texas Woman’s University, earning BA and MA degrees in English, with minors in education and pedagogy. She’s currently completing an M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership and Gifted Education from Lamar University. Casey taught 8th grade Gifted/Talented ELAR for eight years in Texas public schools before returning to higher education. At TWU, she served as Sr. Writing Consultant for The Write Site, Sr. Copyeditor at The Lasso student newspaper, and Adjunct Professor with the First-Year Composition program. Casey’s remained in education for 15 years, because she loves making positive contributions to students’ journeys by helping them explore their interests and talents! In her free time, Casey enjoys reading and writing, watching scifi and mystery dramas, and playing chess, video games, trivia, and piano.
