Move In Day
Move-In Day is Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 10 am - 3 pm. Please check out our Move-In Madness Day Information.
Fall Orientation Schedule
Fall Orientation begins immediately following your move-in to McConnell Hall. (Check here for the schedule).
Small groups are now online for you to look over here. Be sure to double check your number for we have shuffled them a bit to make all groups similar in size.
Roommate decisions and placement have now been sent to you via email. If you have not received this information, please contact Hall Director Lauren Edgar at Lauren.Edgar@unt.edu
Labor Day Weekend
Labor Day weekend is not a closed weekend and student travel will not be permitted without a travel request. Please be sure to input your travel request for your student by the Thursday evening prior to the weekend. Both parent and student MUST input a travel request. Travel on Labor Day can extend from Friday to Monday and will only count as a single option. Be sure to indicate which day your student will return if traveling that weekend. The hall will be open and staffed that entire weekend and Monday.
Frog Night is a traditional TAMS event during the first weekend here. We pair a group of seniors with a group of juniors for an evening of fun and class connections.
Other Important Information
The book titled "When Likes Aren't Enough - a Crash Course in the Science of Happiness" by Tim Bono is your Student Life Summer Read. Please read and be prepared to discuss the novel during our Fall Orientation sessions. Our discussion groups will be hosted by UNT faculty, staff and some Denton community members. Dr. Bono is on faculty at Washington University in St. Louis - feel free to email him with questions and see what you receive back!
