If you desire to switch rooms or roommates with someone, please fill the following form out by 11:59 PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2023. No requests will be taken before or after this time. The form will open for 48 hours at 11:59 PM, Monday, January 23, 2023. All parties in the swap must fill out a form in order to qualify for a room change. Requests to move to a different wing to be closer to friends or with an RA you like will NOT be accepted. The purpose of the room change request is for those who want to room with someone you feel will be a better roommate pairing with you.
Room changes will occur after approvals on January 28. All approved room swap students must stay overnight on Friday, January 27th in order to swap rooms. This means there will be NO travels accepted for any residents involved in the room change process even if you aren't moving, but your roommate is.
If a student desires to change rooms / roommates, the student themselves is solely responsible for finding a new roommate and speaking with all parties involved in a way that respectfully allows each individual to make their own decisions. Before submitting a room change form, the student must also have a closed swap.
Example of unclosed swap:
- Abby wants Mary to live with her, but Kelly currently lives with Abby
- Abby submits a room change form requesting to live with Mary
- Mary submits a room change form requesting to live with Abby
Example of closed swap:
- Gary wants Carl to live with him, but Jim currently lives with Gary
- Gary submits a room change form requesting to live with Carl
- Carl submits a room change form requesting to live with Gary
- Jim submits a room change form requesting to live with Brandon who currently does not have a roommate.
- Brandon submits a room change form requesting to live with Jim
