Organized by the North Texas Commission, Dallas Entrepreneur Center, Cleanweb Initiative and The University of North Texas Discovery Park – this challenge sought innovative solutions to make North Texas more livable and sustainable in the areas of water, waste, alternative fuels and smart energy. Teams were to take 3 months to build web and mobile apps to present in competition for cash prizes totaling $80K. On October 17, 2-014 – the Energy Pal application was selected for a $10K prize. Energy Pal was developed by the team of all TAMS students, Ian Macalinao (Class 2014), Adil Virani, (Class 2016) and Brandon Truong (Class 2015).
